Can I or my family organize my services under our own organization?
There are many examples of families providing services. For example, family businesses have made terrific employers. In some self-determination projects, groups of families have set up organizations that act as employers for the personal care assistants who have been chosen by the individuals who need their assistance. Other families have formed groups to represent their shared ethnic, linguistic, or social ties.
