Are there any limits to the services I can receive?
The services you receive are limited by the funds that pay for them. Medicaid funding provides for rehabilitation and everyday support services. Each state sets its own limits. to determine those limits, you will need to work closely with a Support Coordinator who is knowledgeable about self-determination. The freedom of self-determination calls for a corresponding responsibility in using public money. Self-determination is not an excuse for luxuries, irresponsible behavior, or wasteful spending. Always be careful about spending money, but do not be shy about getting what you must have.
